Job summary

ADCOCK BROTHERS AUTO TRANSPORT INC is seeking a reliable Yard Tech, Shuttle & Recovery Driver to support shuttle, service, recovery, and repair operations. This role focuses on equipment transport within yards and across locations; no cargo hauling.

You will operate 9-car, 5-car, and step-deck trailers, maintain safety standards, follow dispatch, complete logs, and comply with DOT regulations. The position requires Class A CDL with 2+ years experience, ability to read/write English, and physical

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A CDL with 2+ years verifiable experience.
• No more than 2 violations in past 3 years on MVR.
• Must pass DOT inspections and background check.
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong DOT regulation knowledge for property-carrying vehicles.
• General mechanical skills and ability to operate manual transmissions.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and extended periods of standing/sitting.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform yard tech duties: prepping and moving equipment within yard locations.
• Shuttle and recover equipment as needed across various locations.
• Follow all dispatch directions and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and comply with all DOT regulations.
• Drive up to 11 hours per day and up to 14 hours per day when required.
• Climb ladders to access top decks of equipment.
• Bend, reach, stand, and sit for extended periods.
