Job summary

Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Co. Inc. is hiring a Receiving Storage CDL Truck Driver in Lancaster, PA. The role focuses on safely moving trailers, containers, and equipment within yards, docks, and facilities, supporting shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations.

You will drive trailers to dock doors, stage loads, perform inspections, and maintain yard safety and organization. CDL A and DOT medical card are required, with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or college degree.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and a DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet company standards.
• Ability to back, maneuver, couple, and uncouple trailers in yard/dock areas.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer to move trailers throughout the yard and between locations.
• Maintain an accurate yard inventory and provide daily updates.
• Move loaded, empty, and staged trailers to designated parking areas, drop lots, or dock locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
• Communicate clearly with management, warehouse staff, dock personnel, supervisors, and outside drivers.
• Follow all safety policies, traffic flow procedures, and yard rules.
• Complete required paperwork, logs, and inspection reports accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties to support transportation, warehouse, and logistics operations.
