Staffmark is hiring a CDL A Yard Hostler in Union, OH. Pay rate is $30.24 per hour with a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. This temp-to-hire opportunity includes a 3-day work week, home-daily schedule, and no-touch freight while moving dry van trailers between local facilities.

The role requires operating yard tractors and related equipment, backing trailers, and coordinating with warehouse teams. Immediate start for qualified drivers.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and DOT Medical Card required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse checked and clean MVR.
• 1 year CDL experience (past 3 years).
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (past 5 years).
• Strong backing and trailer maneuvering skills.

Responsibilities

• Move and position dry van trailers within yards.
• Operate yard tractors, spotter trucks, and related equipment.
• Transport trailers between local facilities.
• Perform drop-and-hook movements and trailer spotting.
• Back trailers into dock doors and maneuver equipment safely.
• Follow DOT safety rules and maintain inspections/records.
