Staffmark Group in Rancho Cordova, CA is hiring a CDL A Yard Hostler on a temporary assignment through December 31, 2026. The role pays $28.00 per hour and offers 12-hour day and night shifts.

Responsibilities include operating yard equipment to move trailers, spotting at doors, performing safety inspections, coordinating with dispatch, and documenting moves. A valid CDL-A, DOT Medical Card, FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance, and at least one year of CDL experience are required.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and DOT medical card required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clean MVR.
• 1 year of CDL experience in past 3 years.
• Yard hostling/yard jockey experience required.
• Availability for 12-hour shifts, including alternating Wednesdays.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard equipment to move and position trailers safely.
• Spot trailers at designated dock doors and staging areas.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections.
• Follow company safety standards and facility procedures.
• Coordinate trailer movements with dispatch and warehouse personnel.
• Document trailer moves and inspections accurately.
• Report equipment problems or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keep yard operations safe, organized, and efficient.
