Staffmark Drivers is hiring a CDL-A Yard Hostler in Fontana, CA. Start immediately for a position moving trailers within a warehouse and across yards, performing pre/post trips, and ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will shuttle containers between yards and support dock operations in a fast-paced setting. Qualified candidates hold a CDL-A, DOT Medical Card, and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance, with at least 1 year of CDL experience in the past 3 years and clean driving history.

Formación

• Must have a valid CDL-A license.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR.
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years).
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within past 5 years).

Responsabilidades

• Operate a yard goat to move trailers within the warehouse facility and between yards.
• Move trailers dock-to-dock, swapping empty with full trailers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and secure wheels as needed.
• Handle up to 60+ trailer moves per shift in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch and demonstrate professional driving standards.

Schedule Options

• Day Shift: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night Shift: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Day Shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night Shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Staffmark Drivers wants to put YOU in the driver’s seat with an excellent opportunity! We are currently looking for a Class A yard goat driver to start immediately! You will also shuttle containers from one yard to another.

Job Duties

• Must be able to operate a yard goat to move trailers within warehouse facility and move to other yard
• Moving trailers from dock to dock switching out empty trailers with full trailers.
• Hostler will perform pre and post trips daily, chock rear wheels and be aware of safety hazards.
• Hostler will be moving up to 60+ moves per shift, and must be able to work in fast paced environment
• Hostler must have strong communication skills

Driving Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)
• 1 year of experience yard hostling within the past 3 years with your Class A
• At least 22 years of age, or older

As a CDL A Yard Hostler you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service. You will also shuttle containers from one yard to another.
