Job summary

Idaho Milk Transport in Idaho is seeking Class-A CDL drivers for regional propane routes. You will transport propane to customer sites, maintain safety, and coordinate with a responsive dispatch team across western states.

Qualifications

• CDL-A required; hazmat/tank endorsement possible.
• 12 months recent tractor-trailer experience or qualify for apprentice program.
• Ability to obtain tank and hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Transport propane to customer locations and meet delivery schedules.
• Inspect vehicles for safety, perform preventative maintenance when needed.
• Plan routes and input loading/unloading steps into the system.
• Comply with trucking rules, company policies and break requirements.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations promptly.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions

Responsibilities

• Transport propane to customer locations
• Inspect vehiles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes ad meet delivery schedules
• Input "macros" into out automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuever trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
