Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) invites applications for an instructional role in the Truck Driver Training program at the North Campus Safety Center. In this position, you will provide classroom and laboratory instruction, develop lesson plans, and supervise hands-on training with CDL-focused content.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with OSHA, accurate record-keeping, and helping students prepare for CDL testing, with responsibilities including grading, attendance, and field studies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL with Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Valid NC driver's license with driving record within CFCC parameters.
• Experience in truck driving instruction or related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and laboratory instruction to students.
• Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities.
• Develop and prepare supplement materials to enhance textbook lessons.
• Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance; grade and record scores.
• Provide classroom demonstrations on various equipment and machinery; develop laboratory assignments for hands-on experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Maintain and submit all required paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely fashion.
• Demonstrate competencies with handling hazardous materials and follow safety procedures.
