Job summary

KNight Transportation, Inc. is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to become training mentors for new CDL-A drivers. You will help develop the next generation of truck drivers while being financially rewarded for your time.

Top performers can earn substantial average annual and weekly earnings, with compensation for miles driven with students and a student-on-truck bonus. Knight also offers strong benefits and a rider/pet policy as part of the trainer program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A license.
• 6 months Class A experience in the last year or 1 year in the last 5 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years; no major accident in 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug tests.
• Additional Trainer Qualifications: 30 days with Knight; 60,000 miles solo; 1 winter season driving OTR.

Responsibilities

• Train new CDL-A drivers as mentors.
• Earn compensation for miles driven with students.
• Trainers are paid for both their miles and their student’s miles during training.
• Participate in Knight Trainer program and contribute to trainee success.
