Silgan Plastics in Deep River, CT is seeking a Full-time Warehouse Driver to operate a commercial vehicle between locations. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain daily logs, and ensure cargo is secure.

The role requires a CDL-A and DOT medical certification, with experience backing into dock doors and performing drop-and-hook in all weather. This on-site position demands attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and flexibility for weekend shifts and 12-hour

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Valid CDL-A licensing and DOT medical certification required.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
1 year tractor-trailer driving experience required; 2+ years preferred.

Responsabilités

Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods between assigned locations.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety.
Maintain logs, delivery records, and required transportation paperwork.
Follow DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times.
Secure cargo using blocks, chains, straps, or ropes and inspect trailer before/after trips.
Back into multiple dock doors and perform drop and hook as needed.
Drive a manual transmission and work independently with minimal supervision.
