## Warehouse DriverApply: On Site: Deep River, Connecticut: Full time: Posted Today: R8341## **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:**## ## Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:## * ## Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods between assigned locations.* ## Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.* ## Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and any required transportation paperwork.* ## Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times.* ## Work as a self-starter, completing tasks with little instruction* ## Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.* ## Ensure any cargo that is being transported is secure to the trailer, using blocks, chains, covers, straps, load bars, or ropes.* ## Must be able to inspect the trailer before/after each use/trip and record defects.* ## Able to drive a manual transmission.* ## Must be organized with attention to detail maintaining daily logbooks and inspections.* ## Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.* ## Coordinates with Warehouse Associates to ensure safe docking and undocking.* ## Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions. (Truck, trailers, dock, dock locks, etc.)* ## Make sure that all trailer doors (whether empty or loaded) are CLOSED when in motion.* ## Effectively use verbal and written communications.* ## Comply with D.O.T regulations, per FMCSR* ## Maintain a clean and safe working environment.* ## Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
