Job summary

Deseret Industries in St. George, UT is seeking a Diesel Truck Driver to operate straight trucks and move donation pods and bins to support the Church’s welfare programs. You will handle local pickups and deliveries within about a 100-mile radius, ensuring safe operation and proper documentation.

The role requires a CDL Class A, medical certification, and a clean driving record. You may train helpers as needed and perform light maintenance while maintaining a neat, organized truck cab and dock

Qualifications

• Six months verifiable professional trucking experience with class 8 combination vehicles.
• CDL Class A license required to operate assigned vehicle; meets D.O.T. requirements and is able to obtain a D.O.T. medical card.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates combination vehicles for local pick-up and delivery within a ~100 mile radius of the store.
• Interacts with donors, drivers and customers; provides professional and courteous service.
• Loads and unloads own vehicle and secures loads; completes paperwork and maintains logs as required by D.O.T. and Church.
• Performs interim minor preventative maintenance and facility upkeep of equipment.
