Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring CDL A City P&D drivers for the San Jose, CA Service Center. You will perform city delivery and pickup with multiple stops, working daily returns to the terminal, and utilizing scanning equipment.

The role offers a consistent daytime schedule, PTO after 90 days, and a benefits package including medical/dental/vision and 401(k) with company match. Home each day with potential for career growth in a private transportation company.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with valid credentials.
• Minimum 1 year of combined Class A driving experience in past 3 years.
• Clean driving record with MVR/PSP check and no major violations.
• Able to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup freight within city limits as described.
• Return to terminal daily with multiple stops per day.
• Operate scanning equipment and assist customers on site.
• Complete potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.

CDL A City P&D Drivers, Hourly rate is $39.32 hr.

PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes our very own employee resorts

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for CDL A City P&D Drivers at our San Jose, CA Service Center. As a City P&D Driver you will be responsible for city delivery and pickup of freight and returning to the terminal daily. This includes multiple stops per working day, working with scanning equipment, working directly with customers, and completing potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• M ust be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Local delivery experience
• LTL experience
• Electric pallet jack experience
