Job summary

R+L Carriers in Portland, OR is hiring a CDL-A Linehaul Driver. You will haul van or double trailers between service centers and points, returning home daily. PTO after 90 days, excellent benefits, and resort-style lodging are available for associates. Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with a valid license.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving within last 3 years.
• Good driving record (MVR/PSP); no major violations; ≤3 moving violations in 3 years.
• Age 23, or 21+ if FMCSA military transition requirement met.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and road test.

Responsibilities

• Operate van trailers up to 53’ or doubles between service centers and turn-points.
• Return home daily; participate in PTO and benefits.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements at all times.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our Portland, OR Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations, and returning home daily.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
