Job summary

The Alan Group in the Detroit metro area is seeking a CDL-A Truck Driver to safely load, transport, and unload heavy construction equipment from our warehouse to various sites.

You will operate Quad Axle Dump Truck, Low Boy, trailer, and box truck while adhering to road laws and prioritizing safety and time management. We offer comprehensive benefits including health coverage, a 401K with employer matching, and paid time off after one year.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and valid state license required.
• 3+ years of safe driving and heavy equipment transport experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willing to pass drug screen and driving test when required.
• Must meet physical requirements for long driving periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate Quad Axle Dump Truck, Low Boy, trailer, and box truck to site deliveries.
• Load heavy equipment for transport while following state and local laws.
• Manage time to meet deadlines and communicate with the team.
• Meet physical requirements including long drives, lifting, and manual work.
• Represent the company professionally on jobsites and in office.
• Maintain valid CDL-A and state licenses.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete drug screen and driving test when required.

Do you have experience driving a Quad axle dump truck with a trailer, and safely transporting heavy construction equipment and machines?

The CDL-A Truck Driver’s role is to safely load, transport , and unload heavy construction equipment from our warehouse to various construction sites within the metro-Detroit area.This position is essential to keeping our jobsites running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate Quad Axle Dump Truck, Low Boy and Trailer, and Box Truck for deliveries to sites.
• Operate and load heavy construction equipment for the successful transportation to construction sites while adhering to state and local road laws.
• Understand the importance of time management for deliveries and the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines while communicating with the team.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements needed for the job, including driving for long periods, lifting or carrying equipment, and working with your hands.
• As an employee you will be responsible to represent our brand, while on jobsites or office, in a professional manner, which includes dress, demeanor and language.
• Valid and clean CDL-A commercial driver’s license and state license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• (If you have specific machine training or certifications, please let us know!)
• 3+ years safe driving and transporting heavy equipment
• Must be willing to complete a drug screen test and driving test, when required
• Salary $30-35 an hour, depending on demonstrated experience and skill
