US Foods is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to join our logistics team in New York. You will deliver products to customers, ensure timely arrivals, verify deliveries, and maintain safety standards across routes.

Qualifications

• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• Equipment Inspection: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: Perform other duties as assigned by management.

First year drivers earn an average of $96,700 with overtime anually!

You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision.The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• - Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• - Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.
• - Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• - Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• - Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• - Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• - Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• - Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
• - Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
• - Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.
• - Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• - Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• - Must be at least 21 years of age.
• - Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• - Minimum6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR3-months commercial driving experience in the foodand/or beverage delivery industryrequired.
• - Ability tooperatemanual transmission preferred; may berequiredin specific locations.
• - Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $33.30hr and $37.80/hr.

As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus.
