Ultra-Poly in Portland, PA is hiring full-time CDL A Truck Drivers to deliver finished goods to customers. We operate our own fleet and emphasize reliable, efficient logistics.

Starting hourly range is $28.00 to $32.00 depending on experience, with overtime after 8 hours/40 hours, per diem for overnights, medical/dental/vision coverage after 30 days, and a 401(k) with company match. Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license required.
• 3+ years driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Background check, physical, and drug test required.
• Willingness to obtain passport for Toronto runs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with GPS and routing systems.
• Map reading and route planning experience.
• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Secure contents in truck to prevent damage/injury.
• Obtain signatures to confirm deliveries.
• Assist in mapping driving routes.
• Ensure timely transport and delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch as needed.
• Verify shipments match manifests.
• Inspect vehicle before and after trips.
• Check weather and road conditions before departure.
• Keep vehicle clean at all times.
• Maintain and schedule service (fuel, oil, tires).
• Notify manager of maintenance or delivery issues.
• Follow delivery schedule and rest periods.
• No-touch freight.
• Maintain and report driving/delivery logs.
• Record working hours and comply with DOT regulations.

We have our own fleet of tractors, trailers, and tankers that allow us to handle our customers' and suppliers' logistics reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck to prevent damage/injury
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
• Assist in mapping driving routes
• Ensure timely transport and delivery
• Communicate with dispatch as needed
• Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
• Check weather conditions and road reports before departure
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
• Maintain and schedule service as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
• Notify the manager of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
• Follow the delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
• No-touch freight
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Track and report working hours
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in accordance to the weather/road conditions
• Comply with DOT regulations
• Make safety a priority at all times
• 2 to 3 overnights a week with per diem
• Passport a plus

CDL A Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications

• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) required
• 3+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug test
• Has or is willing to obtain a passport for runs to Toronto Canada
• Skilled at driving and parking manual tractors and large, heavy vehicles
• Alert, focused and detail-oriented
• Physically and mentally fit
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems
• Map reading and route planning experience
• Self-starter who works well independently
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
• High level of composure and good stress management
