Northeast Area Drivers - Work Monday to Friday, Off Weekends
Rouse Trucking - Detroit, MI 48201 | $1,400 - $1,550 per week
Here's the story : Tired of companies that treat commercial drivers like replaceable parts? Rouse Trucking has been in business for over 90 years because we figured out something most carriers miss : take care of your CDL A professionals, and they'll take care of your freight.
We run about 350 trucks in the Northeast territory, which means you're not lost in some massive fleet where nobody knows who you are. When you call dispatch, they know your name, your truck, and probably how you like your coffee. That's how we treat Class-A holders.
The equipment situation is pretty straightforward. Brand new 2021-2024 Freightliner Cascadias, not some rebuilt fleet specials. Double bunks, SiriusXM, 24-inch HD TV, refrigerator, and battery APUs that actually keep Class A drivers comfortable. Every truck has a 1,500-watt inverter, so you can run your electronics without worrying about draining the batteries.
Freight-wise, we keep it reasonable for CDL-A operators. Average haul is 250 miles on area runs - long enough to make money, short enough that you're not driving for two days straight. About half the loads are pre-loaded trailers, so you're not sitting around waiting for some warehouse worker to show up. All non-touch cargo because your body shouldn't be a forklift, and commercial professionals deserve better.
Here's what makes sense : Off Saturday-Sunday with a real 48-hour reset, not some 34-hour rushed deal. Regional routes from Maine down to Atlanta, west to Indiana and Illinois.
Pay comes every Friday by direct deposit. No waiting around for checks or wondering when you'll get paid. Class-A drivers make $1,400-$1,550 a week because we keep the miles consistent. We offer $1,200 weekly minimum for commercial operators - no games, no fine print.
Benefits actually matter here for area drivers. Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance that doesn't cost you a fortune. Delta Dental for when you need dental work. 401K with company matching after 60 days, plus guaranteed weekend time.
Family-friendly policies that make sense. Bring your dog along - any breed, any size, no deposit required. Family members 13 and up can ride for just $5 a week insurance while you're doing hands-off operations.
Training happens in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania for two and a half days. We pay for everything - hotel, meals, travel - plus you get $250 when you complete orientation and learn about our touch-free freight policies.
If you're looking for a company that respects your experience as a CDL-A driver and treats Class A professionals like professionals, not just a steering wheel holder on regional territory, this might be the place.
