Job summary

NALCO Water, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate opening for a Customer Delivery Specialist in Bedford Park, IL. You will deliver chemicals by tractor-trailer/dry-van, within a 400–500 mile radius from the plant, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating CMVs, logging hours, inspecting equipment, and maintaining accurate delivery maps while coordinating with sales and supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL with HazMat & Tanker endorsements.
• 3 years commercial driving experience under FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Willing to travel up to 5 days per week, home on weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• No immigration sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Tractor-Trailer/Dry-Van chemical delivery.
• Delivery within a 400-500 mile radius from plant location.
• Safely operate CMVs to include tractor trailers, straight trucks and tanker trunks.
• Maintain driver's hours of service using Samsara and/or paper log books.
• Inspect and maintain truck and equipment for safety and operability.
• Keep up-to-date delivery location maps; comply with DOT hazmat rules and homeland security guidelines.
• Communicate with sales and supervisor to report issues and hazards.
• Follow Zero Defect Delivery procedures for all assignments.
• Wear safety gear during operations.
• Continuously improve driving and safety skills.
• Identify and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.

NALCO Water, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Customer Delivery Specialist in Bedford Park, IL. You’ll be responsible for providing customer delivery of chemicals. As a DOT driving professional, you will safely operate a diesel, tractor- van trailer combination vehicle between our manufacturing plants and our customers. In addition, you will perform pre-trip inspections to any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants, and warehouse locations.

What You Will Do

• Tractor-Trailer/Dry-Van chemical delivery
• Delivery within a 400-500 mile radius from plant location.
• Safely operate CMVs to include tractor trailers, straight trucks and tanker trunks.
• Maintain driver's hours of service by using Samsara and/or paper log book reporting
• Maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections
• Responsible for accurate up-to-date delivery location maps, and operates in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelines
• Maintain regular communication with sales and supervisor to report field problems and/or safety hazards
• Follow Zero Defect Delivery procedures for all delivery assignments
• Always wear appropriate safety gear during delivery operations
• Keep current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), no restrictions with HazMat & Tanker
• 3 years of commercial driving experience, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations from the past 3 years required
• Must be willing to travel up to 5 days per week, home on Weekends and Holidays
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to back and parallel park bulk tankers, straight trucks, semi-trucks and trailers into narrow passages through expensive industrial equipment
• Knowledge of equipment, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials

Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range

$35/hr Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
