Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Mansfield MA. The CDL A Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver building materials to local customers, following all DOT regulations and company safety standards. Daily tasks include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, securing and unloading freight, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and communicating effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams. The driver will interact with customers at delivery sites, represent U.S. LUMBER professionally, and ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time. The role may involve local or regional routes, working in varying weather conditions, and handling materials using appropriate equipment and safe lifting practices.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles, including backing, maneuvering in tight spaces, and securing diverse types of loads.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and unload building materials using proper techniques and, when applicable, forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail for pre- and post-trip inspections, delivery documentation, and compliance with company procedures.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with customers, dispatch, and warehouse teams respectfully and professionally.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work full-time schedules that may include early start times and occasional overtime.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in building materials or distribution environments is beneficial.
