Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Stoneham, MA seeks a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver for local shuttle movements between Ryder customer facilities. You will drive a tractor-trailer, adhere to DOT rules, and maintain logs with attention to safety. Earn weekly pay with a full benefits package and opportunities for bonuses.

The role offers home daily, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a supportive team. Requirements include CDL-A with endorsements, 21+ years old, and clean driving and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Provide a valid CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background, and driving record checks.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Have verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience within required time frames.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in local shuttle routes.
• Comply with safety and DOT regulations and participate in ongoing training.
• Maintain accurate logs and records; perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $28.00 Per Hour
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs Other tasks as assigned
