McLane is offering a CDL-A Driver Trainee program in Minnesota designed to launch your full trucking career. You will train with experienced Driver Trainers and gain hands-on experience handling trailers, deliveries, and customer service while preparing for a permanent Driver role.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities of product.
• Communicate with customers, management, and other teammates.
• Safely drive a tractor-trailer and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit inspection reports.
• Use DDH to document deliveries and temperatures.
• Train with Driver Trainers to learn routes and safety.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading and delivering product.
• Provide on-time, undamaged deliveries and process credits.
