Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Homewood, AL is seeking recent CDL graduates to start through a structured training program that pays weekly and guarantees income during the transition. You’ll train with a mentor, ride in a safe, no-guess path to full solo pay, and enjoy paid orientation with travel and lodging arranged.

The role features East of I-35 operations, no NYC, 100% No-Touch Dry Van freight, and a take-home schedule of 12 days on the road, 2 at home.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license (minimum age 21).
• Minimum 120-hour completion certificate from an approved CDL school.
• Stable work history and clean driving/background record.
• Active DOT Medical Card and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete a structured, supportive training program with a mentor.
• Operate as a solo driver after training with a fixed, assigned truck.
• Maintain a 12 days on assignment / 2 days at home schedule.
• Handle 100% No-Touch Dry Van freight with 70/30 drop-and-hook ratio.
• Adhere to East of I-35 territory with NYC off-limits.
