Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a Safety-minded Transport Driver to shuttle propane by tanker truck. You will load and unload at refinery terminals, connect hoses, and perform regular inspections while driving 500 miles daily and working up to 14 hours.

Requires a Class A CDL with tanker experience and Hazmat/TWIC credentials. Company offers comprehensive benefits and a sign-on bonus. Eligible candidates will drive a tanker with 11,400 gallon capacity, with layovers as needed.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with 3 years tractor and trailer experience; minimum 200,000 miles.
• 1 year tanker experience within last 3 years preferred.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
• Eligible for a TWIC credential.
• No accidents in prior 3 years or more than one moving violation in prior 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive tanker truck to load propane at refinery or terminal and deliver to AmeriGas facilities; loading/unloading approx. 45 minutes.
• Attach terminal hoses to truck connections to pump propane.
• Unload using hoses of two sizes: 20 ft/3 in and 19 ft/1.5 in.
• Perform twice-daily truck inspections.
• May climb ladders to check gauges on bulk tanks.
