Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Swing Driver to service hospitals and healthcare facilities. The role requires a CDL Class A, a clean MVR, and prior driving experience; training is provided and uniforms are supplied.

You will operate straight trucks, roll-offs, and tractor-trailers while complying with DOT and company safety rules. Work involves some warehouse tasks, with opportunities for growth in a mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years or older with driving experience.
• CDL Class A required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Completion of an accredited driving school or one or more years of commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Start early daily and complete assigned Class A commercial driving routes.
• Move yard trailers and provide roll-off support at least 2 days per week.
• Cover route-based pickups as needed.
• Ensure waste, supplies, and material handling equipment are secured prior to operating the vehicle on public highways.
• Complete all paperwork legibly, accurately, and submit to Transportation Supervisor or Dispatcher.
• Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver Logs if applicable.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles; report maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher.
• Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself and others while driving, loading, and unloading vehicles.
