Empire Expedited Inc. seeks a Solo OTR Company driver to operate on the east coast with an assigned new Peterbilt and a focus on safe, efficient deliveries.

You will load, unload, and securely handle freight, comply with DOT standards, and enjoy weekly pay along with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and other incentives.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class-A license.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or dry vans preferred.
• Knowledge of load handling and cargo securing.
• Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Excellent route planning with safety and efficiency focus.
• Understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated routes.
• Load, secure freight.
• Deliver refrigerated goods, flatbeds, and general freight to multiple destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
• Manage routes to meet schedules while optimizing fuel use.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status or issues on the road.
• Maintain logs of driving hours and delivery documentation per federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated routes while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Load, secure freight.
• Deliver a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, and general freight to multiple destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards.
• Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class-A license.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dry vans is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling including load & unload procedures and securing cargo properly if you pull a flatbed.
• Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Excellent route planning skills with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Solid understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards to ensure compliance at all times.
