Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking CDL-A Local Shuttle Drivers for a home daily position with steady freight, consistent schedules, and competitive hourly pay in Flint, MI. Local shuttle runs start and end your day in Flint, with a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift and a 10:00 PM–6:30 AM shift, both home daily at $24.40/hr.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, must be 21+, and either 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience or recent CDL school graduation.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past calendar year OR Recent CDL school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations.
• Follow delivery schedules based on customer production needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance at all times.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations teams.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.

Job Details

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM ($24.40/hr) - Monday through Friday
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM ($24.40/hr) - Sunday night start time Home Daily

What You’ll Do

• Local shuttle runs – start and end your day in Flint, MI
• Follow all company and customer safety regulations
• Ensure timely and safe transport of freight

Initial Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Experience: 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past full calender year OR Recent CDL school graduate
