Job summary

UNIVERSAL DEDICATED OF DETROIT, MI LLC is seeking CDL-A shuttle drivers for local routes in Detroit, MI. This union role offers daily home time, 2nd shift from 2pm to 11:30pm, and overtime typically 1–5 hours weekly. Touch freight involves chaining/strapping only, with Teamsters Local 299 representing drivers.

Training may apply for recent grads. Responsibilities include transporting materials between terminal and customer sites, adhering to schedules, and completing pre-/post-trip inspections

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old; able to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations.
• Follow delivery schedules based on customer production needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance at all times.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations teams.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
