Job summary

Core-Mark International in Rock Island, IL is hiring a Driver - Hourly to ensure food and food service products are delivered safely and on time. You will operate tractor-trailers on intrastate, interstate, and overnight routes, adhere to DOT regulations, and act as the face of the company with customers.

Starting wages are $65K-$72K per year with a 4-day work week, Monday-Thursday, and 5 pm start times, providing three-day weekends and home daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A required.
• Must be 21+ years old and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and pass post-offer drug test.
• Criminal background check and road test required.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer on intrastate/interstate routes, delivering food and related products.
• Interact professionally with vendors and customers; ensure accurate invoices and timely delivery.
• Perform DOT-mandated safety checks and report issues promptly.
• Unload cargo, obtain customer signatures, and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain logs of hours of service; keep trailer and dock area clean.
• Secure equipment and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
