Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Illinois is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Driver for a daytime dedicated route with home weekly. You’ll earn a strong, no-surprise pay package with 1-2 nights at home each week and weekends off, plus a weekly reset.

Expect mostly drop-and-hook, no-touch freight with roughly 2,200 miles per week. Typical shifts run 12 hours starting between 3 AM and 6 AM, with sleeper layovers as needed and optional 6th day for extra income.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement within 90 days.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days.
• No SAP drivers.

Responsibilities

• Multi-stop deliveries across the Midwest and Chicagoland.
• No-touch freight with drop-and-hook wherever possible.
• Home weekly with 1–2 nights at home and weekends off.
• Live unloads and loading requirements as specified by routes.
