Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A semi-local freight driver to haul general freight across the Midwest with home time during the week and a 34-hour reset. You’ll drive assigned automatic sleepers, enjoy no-touch freight, and consistent miles with live-load/unload operations.

The position pays an average of $92,000 per year, with a $5,000 hiring bonus and additional bonuses for early dispatch/30 days. Thursday–Monday shift.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• No SAP Drivers allowed.
• Ability to perform live-load and live-unload operations.
• Willingness to assist nearby accounts as needed.
• Operate trucks safely and legally at all times.

Responsibilities

• Haul general freight from IL to IL/MN/MI/OH.
• All freight is no-touch.
• Loads are live-loaded and live-unloaded.
• Drivers may assist nearby dedicated accounts when freight volume is low.
• Trucks are assigned with no slip seating.
• Uniforms provided through account’s uniform program.
