Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Arizona CDL Class A license required (unrestricted).
• Knowledge of hazards and safety rules in equipment operation.
• Ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in adverse weather and at high altitude, exposed to elements and potentially unsafe materials.

Responsibilities

• Drive designated trash collection routes and dispose at the waste disposal site.
• Collect trash and recyclables and deliver to the designated site.
• Pick up loose trash and perform miscellaneous garbage collection.
• Maintain yard, perform assembly, and vehicle/building upkeep.
• Wear reflective vest, sturdy work boots, and hard hat as needed.
• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair tasks in the public works program, including emergency work and snow removal.
