Ben E. Keith Company seeks an experienced Route Driver to perform daily deliveries across assigned routes, ensuring on-time service and accurate loading/unloading for customers.

You will inspect equipment, assemble orders, and maintain records to guarantee safe, efficient transportation operations. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least one year of route driving experience, and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to DOT and FMCSR regulations.
• At least 1 year of route driving experience.
• DOT certification required.
• Valid State Class A CDL license in state of residence.
• Able to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong interpersonal skills across organizational levels.
• Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform product deliveries along assigned routes and related duties to satisfy customers.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies and request service as needed.
• Assemble orders for timely delivery and ensure accurate delivery windows.
• Place delivered products in assigned storage locations per customer requests.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered products with no damage due to mishandling.
• Report issues to Transportation Supervisor by phone.
• Follow maps and geographic directions.
• Manage multiple tasks and use time, equipment, and materials efficiently.
• Comply with BEK transportation policies and safety guidelines.
• Follow DOT regulations and company policies for personnel.
• Remain DOT compliant and updated on guidelines.
• Maintain professional appearance and training compliance.
• Complete paperwork to ensure transportation efficiency.
• Review customer invoices to determine items moved and delivered.
• Report mechanical issues, delays, or accidents to base location.
