Ben E. Keith Company is hiring a Driver for our Texas operations. You will perform route deliveries, inspect equipment, assemble orders, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries while complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must know and adhere to DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• At least 1 year of route driving experience required.
• DOT certification required.
• Valid State Class A CDL license required in state of residence.
• Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and quality standards.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn new applications/proprietary software.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with multiple levels of organization.
• Self-motivated; customer-focused.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform product deliveries along assigned routes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and request service as needed.
• Assemble orders for timely delivery and manage delivery windows.
• Place delivered products in storage locations per customer requests.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered product and prevent damage.
• Immediately communicate problems to Transportation Supervisor by phone.
• Read maps and follow geographic directions.
• Manage multiple tasks with efficient time, equipment, and materials use.
• Follow BEK transportation policies and procedures for safety guidelines.
• Comply with traffic laws and DOT regulations and company policies.
• Remain DOT compliant and aware of DOT changes in guidelines.
• Ensure conformance with BEK standards for professional appearance and training.
• Complete administrative tasks and related paperwork to ensure operational efficiency.
• Review customer invoices to determine items to be moved and delivered.
• Report mechanical problems, delays, or accidents to base location as needed.
• Turn in receipts and monies received from customer deliveries.
• Maintain records, including vehicle logs, cargo and billing statements.
