Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records.

Responsibilities

• Operates a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a pup trailer per DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and notes issues for repair.
• Reports unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager and Dispatch.
• Participates in training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Works with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and manage accounts.
• Completes all route documentation and ensures containers are dumped and location is clean.
• Positions containers so they do not block driveways or traffic.
• Maintains safe vehicle condition and communicates customer requests or service changes.
