Job summary

Waste Pro in Florida is seeking energetic CDL drivers to join our team immediately. Roll-off drivers deliver and empty large containers for commercial customers, providing dependable service with a professional, safety-minded approach.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a positive attitude, and meeting daily operational goals. Qualifications include a valid Class A or B CDL and a clean driving record, being at least 21 years old, and ability to read and speak English.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state where the position works.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and practices; understanding of DOT requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction; See in the normal visual range with or without correction
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; Maintain written records and service responses.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals, and be able to make legible entries on paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Secure containers by attaching hook to container; use control levers to pull container up on the bed of the truck, secure straps and tarp as needed.
• Provide a Distinguishably Different level of service through courteous customer service in all aspects of refuse operation.
• Answer questions for customers and direct them to Customer Service or Sales Representative for information
• Operate compaction and lift equipment on vehicle.
• Perform Daily Pre and Post Trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and DOT guidelines; complete Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily.
• Maintain clean truck and wash exterior weekly; inspect/clean truck and check fluids and tires.
• Attend corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Keep up to date on current technology used by Waste Pro.
• Any additional job duties assigned by the Supervisor
