Job summary

Clean Harbors in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Class A Driver (Retail Technician) to provide comprehensive environmental services including collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products; recycling of light bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids and other materials; and on-site cleanup activities. This position requires attendance with an in-person Clean Harbors Academy out of State.

Attendance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A is required.
• Hazmat endorsement is required.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Ability to use a laptop, handheld, printer, and iPhone is required.
• Eligible to obtain CDL Class B with hazmat/tanker endorsement within 6 months, paid by the company.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and physical where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Box Truck to retail sites and pick up and transport damaged or recalled goods.
• Load, pack and segregate materials for safe transportation.
• Prepare DOT shipping documents.
• Interact with customers at each stop.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies and health and safety plans.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT and local regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
