Job summary

Marsala Beverage in Monroe, LA is seeking a Relief Driver (Class A CDL) to back up regular routes, safely transport goods, and support delivery schedules. This role reports to the Fleet Manager and can be full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
• Current DOT Medical Card and ability to pass required physical and drug screening.
• Ability to operate Class A delivery trucks and related equipment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A CDL vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Provide coverage for regular route drivers during absences or high-demand periods.
• Transport and deliver goods accurately and on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delivery times, route changes, or delays.
• Adhere to weight limits, traffic regulations, and company guidelines.
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment clean.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and the public.
• Responsible for account integrity, including product rotation and display upkeep.
