Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Memphis is seeking West Tennessee drivers with OTR experience for regional intermodal work, offering a strong per mile rate and load pay on top.

You will operate 5 days on, 2 days off, with potential 2 week to 1 month trips to IL, GA, FL or NC; benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid vacation, orientation pay, and riders or pets allowed from day one.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and be 21+.
• 6 months OTR in the last 12 months or 12+ months within 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI within 5 to 10 years.
• Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accident in 5.
• Pass DOT physical, hair and urine drug screen.
• Live within 50 miles of Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities

• Operate intermodal loads out of Memphis with regional runs and constant pace.
• Follow a 5 days on, 2 days off rotation.
• Accept occasional 2 week to 1 month travel assignments in IL, GA, FL or NC.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with DOT regulations.

Pay

• Mileage: $0.63 per mile
• Load Pay: $27 per revenue load
• Average Weekly: Around $1,400
• Weekly Miles: About 2,000

Schedule

• Rotation: 5 days on, 2 days off
• Longer Turns: More miles per load, less time sitting
• Travel Assignments: Be ready for occasional 2 week to 1 month assignments in IL, GA, FL or NC

Freight

• Intermodal containers
• Drop and hook, live load, live unload and preload
• No special endorsements required
