Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways is seeking a dependable Company Driver to haul freight regionally with a focus on safety and reliability. Expect steady miles, a supportive team, and a clear pay structure that rewards experience and safe driving.

Drivers operate Class A tractors on daily local and regional runs, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain HOS logs, and ensure paperwork is accurate. Hazmat is preferred but not required; DOT/FMCSA standards apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year of experience.
• HazMat endorsement preferred, not required.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure all paperwork is complete and correct.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance (fluids, minor repairs); keep trailer clean and ready.
