American Driver LLC is hiring regional refrigerated drivers. You will haul reefer freight across the Salt Lake region to Las Vegas, LA, Bay Area, Portland and Seattle, returning home every two weeks. Training pay and a first-month solo guarantee are available for new drivers.

Expect mileage pay starting at $0.51 per mile, 1,900–2,100 miles per week, and a weekly solo average around $1,200–$1,300 with a $800 training pay during initial weeks.

Competenze

• Valid Class A CDL and age 21 or older.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
• No DUI or DWI in 10 years.
• DOT physical plus hair and urine drug screen.

Refrigerated freight keeps moving in every season, and that steadiness is what this regional fleet sells. You haul reefer loads between Utah, Nevada, California and the Pacific Northwest, run about 2,000 miles a week, and come home every two weeks. We hire drivers who live in Tooele, Grantsville and the west side of the Salt Lake Valley, whether you got your CDL last month or have years behind the wheel.

The short version

• Solo average: $1,200 to $1,300 a week
• Mileage pay: starting at $0.51 per mile, higher with verifiable experience
• Miles: 1,900 to 2,100 a week
• Home: every two weeks
• Training pay for new drivers: $800 a week
• New solo drivers: $1,000 weekly guarantee for the first 3 months

Where the freight goes

Regional reefer lanes connecting the Salt Lake area with Las Vegas, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Portland and the Seattle area. You learn these routes fast because you run them again and again. A monthly bonus is paid on top of miles, stops pay $15, and short loads pay extra on a sliding scale.

For new CDL drivers

You train 3 to 5 weeks (200 to 250 hours) with an experienced mentor and earn $800 every week. You need a completed truck driving school of at least 120 hours. When you are signed off, you take your own truck on the same lanes.

For experienced drivers

With 6 months or more of recent experience, you go solo right after orientation. Team positions are also open if you already drive with a partner.

First days

Orientation lasts two days or less and pays $300 once you are hired. A one-way bus ticket to orientation is reimbursed with a receipt.

On the truck

• Late-model tractors averaging about 1.5 years old
• Automatic and 10-speed options
• One approved dog up to 40 pounds after training
• Adult rider program for solo drivers
