Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL P&D Truck Driver in California. The role involves pickup and delivery across intra-state and inter-state routes, with responsibilities including loading/unloading, securing freight, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Pay ranges from $31 to $33.50 per hour; benefits include a full range of health, retirement, life, and wellness programs. Candidates should meet DOT certifications and onboarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples.
• Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must complete onboarding: drug screen, background check, MVR, PSP.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely while complying with state and federal regulations.
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Record ELD, VIR, trip, and dispatch information as required.
• Ensure cargo is secured and loads are properly managed.
• Load, unload, and secure freight as needed.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to trip scheduling.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
