Job summary

S.P. Richards Company is seeking a full-time Driver in Concord, NC. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and retrieval of office products on overnight routes, ensuring DOT and company safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include documenting deliveries, inspecting vehicles, leveraging Roadnet and tablets/ELD tools, and providing courteous service to customers while maintaining accurate logs and paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid commercial driver’s license class A required by DOT; clean MV history.
• Must meet SPR driving standards and regulations for DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT pre- and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle.
• Check paperwork against products ordered and shipped.
• Maintain electronic delivery log for route navigation and POD.
• Vehicle cleaning and routine maintenance.
• Adhere to safety rules including handling of hazardous materials.
• Retrieve returns and record quantities accurately.
• Complete delivery route in the specified sequence.
• Unload or load orders using pallet jacks or hand trucks; assist as needed.
• File customer paperwork properly and provide courteous service.
