Job summary

American Driver LLC is hiring upstate South Carolina Class A drivers for eastern OTR runs with a paid mentor before going solo. You’ll start at a paid rate and progress to full mileage pay as you gain experience. Lanes are predominantly eastbound, reducing cross-country trips.

You will run approximately 2,500 miles per week, with weekly direct deposit and a progressive pay scale up to $0.65 per mile. New grads are supported with paid mentor training and a home two-week reset schedule.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL in home state, 21 years or older
• New grad (120 school hours) or verifiable experience
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• DOT physical, hair and urine screen
• Acceptable driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years)

Responsibilities

• Operate OTR lanes across the eastern states with a mentor initially
• Return home every two weeks and work with planning loads and dispatch
• Maintain safety and compliance per DOT standards and company policies

Earnings

• $1,200 to $1,400 a week, about $62,400 to $72,800 a year
• $0.55 a mile to start, up $0.01 a year to a $0.65 cap
• Around 2,500 miles a week
• $15 per stop after the first
• Weekly direct deposit

The week

OTR lanes across the eastern states, a mix of drop-and-hook and live freight. Out about two weeks, then home for your reset. Planned loads, day and night dispatch.

New grad path

• 120 school hours qualifies you
• Paid mentor training before solo
• Full solo rate when you finish

Your truck

Assigned, take-home, automatic or 10-speed, about 1.5 years old, 24/7 dispatch.
