Job summary

American Driver LLC is hiring for CDL A truck drivers starting with preloaded Sacramento-to-Southern California routes. Trainees ride with a mentor for 4–6 weeks, earning $680–$850 weekly during training.

After training, drivers run solo with weekly pay, home every other day, and a 34-hour reset at home. A strong safety record and DOT screening are required to start and succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL, 21 or older.
• New driver with a 120-hour school certificate or 6 months of recent experience.
• Record: no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no DUI/DWI in 10.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening (hair and urine).

Responsibilities

• Drive preloaded store deliveries from Sacramento into Southern California.
• Return trips with a preloaded trailer and plan routes with a mentor during training.

Brand-new license, zero miles? You can still start here. Training is paid and you are never thrown in alone.

The numbers

• Paid $680 to $850 per week in training
• $1,200 to $1,500 average per week
• $0.54 to $0.65 per mile by experience
• 2,300 to 2,700 miles weekly
• Home every other day when the runs allow, 34-hour reset at home
• $15 per stop after the first
• Paychecks every week

How we get you from CDL school to solo

• Call: we talk through your license and record first. No surprises later.
• Orientation: up to 2 days, hotel covered, one-way bus fare reimbursed, $300 after you are hired.
• Training: 4 to 6 weeks riding with a mentor who helps with backing, logs, fuel stops and route planning. Pay is $680 to $850 weekly.
• Solo: your own truck, fleet average age 1.5 years, 10-speeds and automatics.

Straight answers for new drivers

• "Will I be gone for months?" No. You are usually home every other day and take your 34-hour reset at home.
• "What if I have a problem on the road?" You are not on your own. Trips are planned for you and your driver leader picks up the phone.
• "Do I have to pay for orientation?" No. The hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you are paid $300 once hired.
• "Will one ticket disqualify me?" Not by itself. We accept up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.

On the road

Night shift. You pick up a preloaded trailer, deliver to stores, and head back for the next one.

This account has its own support team 24/7. Holidays and weekends are worked, so plan for that.
