Job summary

Schneider National, a leading intermodal carrier, is seeking CDL-A drivers for night routes serving IA, IL, IN, MI and WI. You will haul containers on company-owned chassis with 80% dedicated lanes and 90% no-touch work.

This role offers a $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 months, paid orientation, six months of PTO eligibility, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and both mileage/load pay and hourly pay when on duty.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Class A; tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Drivers on this account operate primarily at night.
• Endorsements for HazMat and Tanker are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Gary, IN to be eligible.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• Operate on night shifts with possible loading/unloading duties.
• Drive in and out of railyards across IA, IL, IN, MI and WI.
• Utilize intermodal operations with drop-and-hook where applicable.

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• 90% no-touch freight that is 50% drop-and-hook.
• 80% dedicated lanes.
• Drive in and out of railyards within IA, IL, IN, MI and WI.

Pay and bonus potential

• Pay recently increased by up to $.07 per mile.
• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.
• $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications
