Job summary

Schneider National is seeking drivers for intermodal operations in the Midwest. You will haul automotive freight in containers on company-owned chassis, serving a single customer between railyards across IL, IN, MI and OH.

Expectation includes 100% no-touch freight with 90% drop-and-hook, CDL required, and a strong annual bonus potential. Training, sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Gary, IN.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

• Haul automotive freight in containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• Haul freight for one customer to/from railyards to various destinations.
• Operate with 100% no-touch freight that is 90% drop-and-hook.
• Drive in and out of railyards within IL, IN, MI and OH.

Pay and bonus potential

• Pay recently increased by up to $.03 per mile.
• Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.
