Job summary

Schneider National is seeking qualified intermodal drivers for night shifts with Class A CDL. Drivers haul freight containers on company-owned chassis with a mix of drop-and-hook and no-touch freight across IA, IL, IN, MI and WI.

You’ll earn mileage and load pay plus hourly pay on duty (not driving), with a 12-month, $12,000 sign-on payout and an annual bonus up to 3%. Orientations are paid, and benefits include health coverage and a 401(k) with company match.

Overview

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• 90% no-touch freight that is 50% drop-and-hook.
• 80% dedicated lanes.
• Drive in and out of railyards within IA, IL, IN, MI and WI.

Pay and bonus potential

• Pay recently increased by up to $.07 per mile.
• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.
• $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.
