Job summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for moving company product using a 40-ton commercial vehicle or other company vehicle, assisting the Facilities Manager with the maintenance, daily repairs, and functionality of the company buildings and vehicles.

Building maintenance includes the upkeep of the inside and outside of the building, including some janitorial duties, and vehicle maintenance. This is a full-time role with Monday–Friday schedule and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS license with Class A endorsement, free of major infractions.
• 2–3 years building maintenance experience desired.
• 1 year basic automotive experience desired.
• Forklift operator’s license possession or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Haul material to other company sites and customer locations.
• Basic electrical maintenance and light fixture work.
• Basic structural maintenance including wall repairs.
• Basic mechanical maintenance (oil changes, filters, lights).
• Basic plumbing maintenance.
• Grounds care such as snow and lawn tasks.
• Assist Facilities Manager in various tasks.
• Support other departments as needed.
• Flexible work schedule as business needs require.
