Job summary

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. in Middle Tennessee seeks a Lowboy Driver to safely transport heavy equipment on lowboy trailers. The role requires a Class A CDL, a strong safety record, and the ability to travel interstate while meeting DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include securing loads, performing vehicle inspections, keeping accurate logs, and coordinating with dispatch and clients to ensure timely deliveries, all while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum of 5 years professional driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent driving record with no recent violations.

Responsibilities

• Operate lowboy trailers to transport heavy and oversized equipment to various job sites
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with DOT regulations.
• Perform some interstate travel
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely deliveries
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and damage
