C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Lowboy Driver to join our team in Georgia. You will safely transport heavy equipment and oversized loads using a lowboy trailer, while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a valid Class A CDL, 5+ years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to work nights and weekends. This role may involve interstate travel and requires strong communication with dispatch and clients.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent driving record with no recent violations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate lowboy trailers to transport heavy equipment to various job sites.
• Secure loads and comply with DOT regulations.
• Perform some interstate travel.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely deliveries.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and damage.
